Lecturer Dr. İsmail Oztürk from our department participated in the events held in Izmir and Istanbul within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Turkish-Japanese diplomatic relations. The first of the performances, which included demonstrations of Japanese calligraphy and traditional Islamic calligraphy, was held on May 13, 2024, at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Similar performances took place on May 20, 2024, at the Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) Library Performance Center and on May 23, 2024, at the Akatlar Cultural Center of the Beşiktaş Municipality, hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in Istanbul, one of the event's partners.
